Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking an OOSH Educator to join Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College team in Fletcher, NSW. The role focuses on building positive relationships with children and families and supporting the educational program under the guidance of the OOSH Coordinator.

Casual morning and afternoon shifts are available (6:30 am - 8:30 am; 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm; and vacation care hours). Essential Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, current first aid and safeguarding training, and Working

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
• Current Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education and Care Setting qualification
• Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training
• Valid Working with Children Check
• Accredited Child Protection Training
• Be willing to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law Application Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children
• Contribute to the educational program under the direction of the OOSH Coordinator/Educational Leader to provide a high-quality program for all children

About The Role

The OOSH Educator is a member of the Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College Team. The role is primarily responsible for:

• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children

Essential Criteria

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)

Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Out of School Hours Care/Vacation Care Service.
• Previous experience in administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison.
• Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation
• Demonstrated knowledge of service's requirements of the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system and ability to perform software application for compliance
