Job summary

Kanwal Village Medical Centre on the Central Coast NSW is seeking an experienced medical receptionist for a casual position (~15 hours/week across 3 shifts, includes Saturday mornings). Police checks may be required.

The role includes appointment handling, email/fax correspondence, payment processing, and Medicare/DVA batching in a busy general practice. Ideal candidates will have General Practice experience, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Experience working in General Practice.
• Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritise.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Knowledge of Best Practice and Hot Docs.

Responsibilities

• Make appointments.
• Receive and send emails and faxes.
• Receive and chase payments (private billing).
• Batch and claim Medicare and DVA.
• Open and close the practice; light cleaning.
