Job summary

The Great Southern Hotel Melbourne is seeking a casual Maintenance / Handyperson to join our busy hotel in Melbourne CBD. This hands-on role focuses on keeping hotel facilities, rooms and common areas in top condition while delivering safe, minimal-disruption service to guests.

You will handle general maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and other tasks, work on a rotating roster, and have opportunities to develop skills within the Great Southern Hotel network.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a general maintenance, handyperson or similar role.
• Practical knowledge of plumbing, painting, carpentry and general repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A proactive, self-motivated and hands-on approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
