Job summary

Wollondilly Shire Council is hiring a casual Library Clerk to join our library team in Picton, NSW. The role pays $36.64 per hour plus 25% casual loading and requires availability for rostered evening and weekend shifts.

You will deliver high-quality library services, support literacy, and engage with the community while working within a friendly team. Applicants must have a Class C driver’s licence and WWCC.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Class C driver’s licence and a valid Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the library front desk and assist with everyday library tasks.
• Be available for rostered evening and weekend shifts across Monday to Sunday.
• Work well within a team and follow instructions while communicating professionally.
• Assist with processing financial transactions and cash handling in a customer service setting.

To succeed in this position, you will meet the following criteria:

• Current Class C Drivers Licence and a valid Working with Children Check (paid employment).
• Ability and commitment to work in Council’s customer service point rosters, including rostered evening and weekend shifts across the span of Monday-Sunday.
• Demonstrated experience of working well within a team environment.
• Ability to follow instruction, work autonomously, and communicate professionally.
• Demonstrated ability to manage financial transactions in a customer service setting.
