Job summary

ALS Metallurgy is seeking enthusiastic Labourers / Sample Preparers to join our Balcatta team. You will be a casual employee working full-time hours (8 hours per day) across day or afternoon shifts, reporting to the Area Supervisor.

This is a physically demanding sample preparation role performing bench tasks, operating basic equipment, maintaining accurate records and following Health, Safety and Environmental procedures. ALS values safety, inclusivity and development, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on labouring background required.
• Ability to perform repetitive, physical tasks safely.
• Good communication, organisational and time management skills.
• Good literacy, numeracy and computer skills.
• Alignment to ALS core values.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, crushing, grinding and splitting samples under supervision.
• Operate basic sample preparation equipment safely.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
• Maintain accurate record keeping and labeling.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform repetitive, physical tasks to meet client requirements.
