Job summary

Matthews Hospitality Group, owner of Bentleys Hotel in Clare, is seeking one or two experienced Kitchenhands / Cooks to join our busy kitchen team. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident taking on more than traditional kitchenhand duties. Approximately 15–30+ hours per week, with casual or part-time employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy commercial kitchen.
• Hands-on cooking experience or currently studying cookery.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Kitchenhand and dishwashing duties
• Basic food preparation
• Cooking simple menu items including fryers, pizzas and salads
• Assisting chefs during busy service periods
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen
• Following food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
• Receiving, storing and rotating stock
• Supporting the wider kitchen team wherever required
