Job summary

Black Rock Inn in Blackwater operates an on-site restaurant at 21 Doon and is seeking a motivated Kitchen Hand / Cook to join our friendly hospitality team. You will assist with food preparation, cooking, kitchen service, and maintain high food-safety standards in a busy motel setting.

Available Monday to Friday with some weekend work for functions, you’ll learn from an experienced chef and gain hands-on experience across kitchen operations while supporting meals for motel guests, local diners,

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience.
• Interest in food and cooking.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Reliable team player with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to work in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking
• Cleaning and maintaining high food-safety standards
• Support the delivery of quality meals for motel guests, local diners, functions and corporate groups
• Work efficiently in a busy kitchen
• Work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
