Job summary

The Salisbury Hotel in Adelaide is seeking a kitchen hand/cook to join a fun, friendly team. You will assist with food prep, basic cooking and dishwashing, supporting the chef with daily kitchen operations.

This casual role requires reliability and availability across a 7‑day roster, with 15+ hours per week and potential for more hours based on performance and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in food handling and basic cooking
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines
• Ability to maintain clean and hygienic kitchen areas
• Proficient English communication and customer service awareness
• Reliable, flexible, with a team‑oriented attitude
• Willingness to learn and develop in hospitality roles

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and basic cooking
• Food hygiene, allergy, and awareness controls
• Cleaning duties
• Consistent and professional delivery of the venue’s products
• Understand all food offerings and menus across the venue
• Communicate with team members and other areas of operations
• Maintain hygienic and neat presentation of service and kitchen areas
• Follow Safe Work Procedures per WHS Act 2012 and HACCP
• Any other duties directed by management
