Job summary

Surf Hotel in Torquay is seeking casual housekeepers to join our team at one of the town’s newest boutique hotels. With summer around the corner, it’s a great time to work in a beautiful beachfront location with a friendly team and an eye for detail. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not essential.

We’re looking for reliable, enthusiastic people who take pride in providing a great guest experience in a welcoming environment by the sea.

Qualifications

Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience.
Knowledge of WHS and responsibilities.
Great people and communication skills with an eye for detail.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service and enhance guest experience.
Open/close hotel facilities.
Advise guests on local recommendations, tours and activities.
Daily cleaning of hotel rooms and common areas including reception, office, laundry and wellness space.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Complete room cleaning within allocated timeframes while upholding Surf Hotel standards.
Restock cleaning products and linen daily.
Report maintenance issues to the Hotel Manager.
Follow all health and safety procedures.
Respond to safety and security issues.
Maintain a professional and helpful attitude toward guests and team.
Perform other duties as assigned by Hotel Manager or General Manager.
