Job summary

Gippsland Care Services is seeking a compassionate Home Care Support Worker for casual shifts in Warragul and surrounding areas. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide medication support per care plans, and help empower independence in the community.

Role requires Certificate III/IV in Aged Care/Disability/Individual Support, CPR/First Aid, police check, and a valid driver’s licence. Paid travel time and mileage are offered, with ongoing training and a range of flexible

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
• 6–12 months of experience in a support worker role (preferred).
• Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certificates.
• Australian Driver’s Licence (unrestricted).
• Police Check within last 6 months and up-to-date vaccination status.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to clients in their own homes or community settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Support with medication as per care plan and training.
• Respond to health changes by contacting emergency services or supervisor.
• Encourage participation in community activities and transport as needed.
