Job summary

Aurizon’s Gladstone Port Services team is hiring a Multi Skilled Equipment Operator on a casual basis. You will move freight, operate equipment and assist with loading and unloading in a busy port, with shifts up to 12 hours, including weekends.

You must hold an HC drivers licence, a heavy forklift licence, and be committed to safety, with good verbal and written communication and the ability to complete pre-starts and defect reports.

About the role

As a Multi Skilled Equipment Operator, you’ll support safe and efficient port operations by moving freight, operating equipment and assisting with loading and unloading activities as required.

• Driving heavy vehicle single to multi combinations to transport containerised freight.
• Operating forklifts to safely load and unload materials and goods.
• Supporting day‑to‑day operational requirements across Aurizon’s Bulk operations.
• Completing pre‑starts, defect reports and other required paperwork accurately.

• Confidence completing pre‑starts, defect reports and other operational paperwork.
• Mechanical aptitude and a practical, can‑do attitude.

Highly desirable, but not essential

• Reach Stacker ticket and experience.
