Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section in Orange, NSW is seeking a Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPTS) Ground Registered Nurse for casual shifts. You will provide safe, compassionate clinical care during patient transfers between facilities and airports.

You will work autonomously within a supportive transport health team, use your ICU/ED experience, maintain documentation, and liaise with hospitals and the aero-medical team.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Current ALS and BLS certification (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 3 years post-graduate acute nursing experience.
• ICU and/or Emergency Department experience.
• NSW Driver License.
• Ability to obtain required clearances and mandatory checks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality clinical care during patient transfers.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor clinical stability throughout transport.
• Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration appropriately.
• Liaise with hospitals, the Operations Centre, the Aero-medical team and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Maintain patient documentation and clinical standards.
• Contribute to operational and administrative activities when required.
• Work within a highly supportive and collaborative transport healthcare team.
