Job summary

Linfox in Katherine, NT, is seeking an experienced casual Forklift operator focused on service delivery. You will operate a container forklift or heavy lift and work weekdays on day shift with weekend overtime available.

This role services our produce contracts in a unique intermodal environment. You will join a safety‑driven team; hold a current LF licence; a Reach Stacker licence is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Current LF licence and experience.
• Reach Stacker licence desirable however not necessary.
• Sound verbal and written communication skills.
• A self-starter who displays flexibility with approach to tasks.
• Committed to safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate a container forklift and heavy lift in a yard environment.
• Transport containers and manage yard movements in line with safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and staff to coordinate tasks.
• Ensure all tasks are completed within contractual time frames.

What does the job look like?

Linfox’s Intermodal business unit are currently seeking an experienced casual Forklift operator with a strong focus on service delivery. As part of this role, you will operate a container forklift or heavy lift. You will have the opportunity to work within a unique environment servicing our produce contracts. We currently have an opportunity available working Monday through to Friday on day shift with overtime work available during the weekends. Key areas:

• Always Driving to Linfox Safety Standards and ensuring that Vision Zero is a daily focus
• Always Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements.
• Transporting containers around the Linfox yard
• Container Forklift and Heavy Lift operation
• Communicate effectively with other drivers & other staff where needed
• Ensuring that all tasks are completed within contractual time frames
