Job summary

St John Ambulance Victoria is seeking a Casual Trainer to deliver engaging first aid training across metro and regional Victoria. You will facilitate both accredited and non-accredited programs, assess learner competency, and ensure training aligns with national standards.

A passion for education and strong communication are essential. The role requires weekend work with occasional weekdays, a valid driver’s licence, and willingness to travel throughout Victoria.

Qualifications

• Passion for training and education in first aid, health, safety, or related field.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or equivalent.
• Practical industry experience and/or qualifications in first aid or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate adult learners.
• Professional, customer-focused approach and ability to represent St John positively.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and sound basic IT skills.
• Current driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel throughout Victoria, including regional areas.
• Availability to work on weekends as the role is mainly weekend work with the occasional weekday.
