Job summary

Diamond Protection seeks reliable Spray Team Officers for the Hazelwood Power Station site in Morwell during the 2026/27 fire season. You will join the crew to carry out water spraying and fire prevention activities, contributing to site and community safety on Fire Rated Days.

The casual position runs from November 2026 to March 2027, with induction, PPE, and training provided. You’ll work outdoors, on hot days, and must be able to communicate clearly with the team.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian driver licence (MR/HR highly regarded).
• Ability to work outdoors in hot conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Availability to start at short notice on Fire Rated Days, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operating spray equipment, hoses and water delivery systems across designated areas of the site.
• Wetting down exposed surfaces and high-risk areas to reduce ignition and fire spread.
• Conducting site patrols and fire watch, and reporting hazards or hot spots promptly.
• Carrying out pre-start checks and basic maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Following site safety procedures, permits and emergency response plans.
• Communicating clearly with supervisors and team members via radio.
• Completing daily records and shift reports.
