Job summary

Charley's Place is seeking a Casual Educator to help create meaningful learning experiences, build relationships with children and families, and deliver high-quality educational programs in a safe, nurturing setting. You will support wellbeing, foster inclusivity, and work closely with colleagues to ensure cohesive childcare practices.

The role requires relevant ECEC qualifications, strong communication skills, and a commitment to EYLF and NQF standards.

Job description

As a Casual Educator at Charley's Place, you will play an important role in creating meaningful learning experiences for children, building relationships, delivering high-quality educational programs, providing a safe and nurturing environments for all children, and ensuring all children feel valued, supported and empowered to thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain active supervision at all times
• Creating safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environments that encourage exploration, creativity and social interaction
• Building positive relationships with children and families, fostering trust and open communication
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent and cohesive approaches to childcare and education
• Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and helping them develop social skills and resilience
• Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and policies and procedures
• Be available to work between our two North Brisbane Services - Bald Hills and Alderley

About you

A relevant Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) qualification, such as a Certificate 111, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent recognised qualification

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

A strong commitment to creating inclusive environments that respect and celebrate diversity

Sound organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed records

Sound understanding of the EYLF, Child Safe Standards, NQF, and Regulation & Law
