Job summary

G8 Education’s McKenzie Street Children’s Centre is seeking an experienced Casual Assistant Educator who holds a Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services. You’ll join a fun-loving, supportive team dedicated to creating an outstanding learning environment for children aged 0-5, with operating hours 6:30am–6:30pm and capacity around 70.

The role emphasizes EYLF/NQS understanding, excellent communication, and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Hold ACECQA approved Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services.
• Understanding of EYLF and NQS.
• Experience with children aged 0–5 years.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certificate.

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 70children with operating hours from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

About You

• Hold a minimum ACECQA approved Certificate III or Diploma Qualification in Children’s Services
• An understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Proven sector experience within an Early childhood service (working with children 0-5 years)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A current Working with Children Check
• First Aid certificate
