Job summary

Sylvanvale provides casual disability support across Western Sydney, focusing on building relationships, encouraging independence, and delivering tailored support for clients with complex needs. You will help people achieve personal goals through home and community activities and adapt to each situation with understanding and care.

You will read plans, support with personal care and daily tasks, and help clients engage in local activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting clients with challenging behaviours and complex care needs.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
• Willingness to support clients with personal care, cooking and cleaning.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
• Strong ability to use technology and have access to a smartphone.
• Full Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Reading and understanding client plans to provide best practice support.
• Implementing and working towards client goals to increase and approve their capacity.
• Supporting clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Performing household tasks including menu planning, cooking, and cleaning.
• Supporting clients to access and be a part of their local community.
• Being creative to engage clients at every part of the day and seeking opportunities to do so.
