Endeavour Foundation is seeking experienced Casual Disability Support Workers to support people with complex disability needs in Rockhampton and surrounding areas. You will provide person-centred support in line with individual support plans and PBSPs, including personal care, medication support, and community access.

As a casual team member, you will offer flexible shifts, with 30 hours of availability per fortnight and potential sleepover or overnight commitments.

Formación

• Previous experience supporting people with disability or complex support needs is highly desirable.
• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Community Services or related qualification.
• Experience supporting people who may display behaviours of concern.
• Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and ability to follow support plans and PBSPs.
• Confidence supporting personal care and daily living activities where required.
• Strong communication, observation and documentation skills.
• A current Driver Licence, reliable vehicle and comprehensive insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Providing person-centred support to people with complex disability support needs.
• Following individual support plans and Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
• Responding calmly and consistently to behaviours of concern using agreed strategies.
• Supporting people to build independence, everyday living skills and achieve their NDIS goals.
• Assisting with personal care, manual handling and medication support where required.
• Supporting participation in community, recreational and social activities.
• Building positive relationships that promote choice, dignity and inclusion.
• Completing accurate progress notes, incident documentation and other required records.
