Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Disability Support Worker on a casual basis to support people with disability across Thornlie, Gosnells and Haynes in respite and lifestyle services as community access.

Candidates should build positive relationships, engage in activities, and cover varied casual shifts in surrounding areas, including short-notice work. Probity checks and NDIS clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with disability.
• Experience with behaviour support plans.
• Experience with personal care and manual handling.
• Strong computer and verbal and written communication skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans.
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities.
• Maintain thorough record keeping.
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues.
• Advocate for client choice and control.
