Job summary

Scope in Bendigo is seeking a Casual Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support enabling customers to belong and thrive. The role involves helping with daily living activities, personal care, health routines and community access, following support plans and safety procedures.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, keeping accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues.

Position Details

• Position: Disability Support Worker
• Employment type: Casual
• Location: Bendigo, VIC
• Availability: Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and sleepover shifts.

About You

• Provide person-centred support to help customers achieve their goals and maintain their independence.
• Support customers with daily living activities, personal care, health routines and community access.
• Follow support plans, behaviour support strategies and safety procedures.
• Use calm communication and positive approaches when responding to behaviours of concern.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Be reliable, patient and committed to delivering high-quality support.

You must have or be willing to obtain:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Working with Children Check
• First Aid and CPR
• International Police Check if you have lived or worked overseas for more than one (1) year within the last ten years
