Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Female Disability Support Worker to join our casual team supporting residents in a brand-new SIL home in Essendon. You will provide person-centred, respectful support to people with disability, help them exercise choice and live independently, and work a 24/7 roster including sleepover shifts as the service is established.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with disability in community or residential settings.
• Active support and person-centred approach.
• Confident with manual handling and personal care tasks.
• Must hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support plans.
• Assist residents to achieve goals through meaningful activities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and staff.
• Advocate for client choice and independence.
