Job summary

Blue Iris Support Services is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team on a Casual basis in North Brisbane, QLD. You will provide person-centred support to help participants live independently and participate actively in the community.

We value compassionate care, reliability, and flexibility. A current Blue Card, NDIS worker screening, and First Aid/CPR are preferred, with opportunities for professional development and supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in Disability Support, Community Services, or equivalent.
• Current Blue Card (Paid Working with Children) or willingness to obtain.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Driver's licence and reliable vehicle preferred.
• Experience with participants with complex needs desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and support per individual plans.
• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, grooming, dressing and meals.
• Support participation in community activities and social engagement.
• Accompany participants to appointments and outings.
• Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress.
• Follow medication, infection control and safety procedures.
• Promote independence and dignity through active support.
• Communicate effectively with participants and team.
