Job summary

HammondCare Horsley is seeking Casual Specialised Carers – Dementia Care to join our team. The role focuses on providing tailored personal support within the residential home and creating a home‑like environment for residents.

Responsibilities include personal care (showering, grooming, toileting), delivering life-engagement activities, supporting residents with dementia, recognizing changes, and reporting them to on‑site nurses and managers.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for serving elderly people
• Flexible to commit to night and weekend shifts
• Ability to work both in a team and independently
• Knowledge and experience with people living with dementia
• Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, grooming, toileting and other supportive tasks
• Deliver life engagement activities to residents
• Support residents with varying levels of dementia
• Recognise, report and respond to changes in residents’ conditions within your skill set
• Complete on-site orientation, buddy shifts and collaborate with registered nurses and managers on site
