Job summary

Genea Canberra is seeking an experienced Day Surgery Nurse to join on a casual basis. You will admit patients, prepare them for procedures, assist doctors in the procedure room, provide recovery care and discharge instructions, and support day-to-day operations in a state-of-the-art facility.

Applicants should be registered nurses or midwives with AHPRA and hold a Working with Children's Check. Prior scrub and scout experience and a strong focus on patient care are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient care and nursing, with a focus on perioperative settings.
• Scrub and scout experience is desirable.
• Strong commitment to patient care and service quality.
• Must be a registered Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA.
• Must have a Working with Children's Check.
• Experience in maternity, reproductive/female health, or infertility is preferable.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Genea Day Surgery Nurse, your duties will include;

• Patient admission, screening and pre-operative preparation
• Assist Doctors with treatment in the procedure room competently

Qualifications

This role is perfect for an experienced Day Surgery Nurse looking for some casual hours. You will bring your strong clinical experience to this role, and also an exceptional committment to patient care.

Your previous experience and qualifications will ideally include;

• Have scrub and scout experience
• Be focused on customer service and patient care, both directly face to face and in a supporting role (telephone, email, etc).
• Be a registered Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA (mandatory)
• Have a working with Children's Check (mandatory)
• Experience in a variety of nursing areas such as midwifery, reproductive and female health, and/or infertility (preferable)
