Job summary

Spring Kidz Coolamon is seeking a warm, reliable cook for casual, full-day shifts from 8am to 3pm, preparing breakfast through to afternoon tea for our children. The role involves planning nutritious, allergy-aware meals within budget, maintaining a clean kitchen, and supporting families in a friendly environment.

A Working With Children Check is required, along with a Food Safety Supervisor certificate and Gecko Foundation modules.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Working With Children Check.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
• Foundation Modules 1 & 2 of the National Child Protection (Gecko) Training.
• Experience cooking for children or in a large-group setting (childcare, school or aged care catering highly regarded).
• Own reliable transport.
• Good time management and the ability to multitask.
• A genuine love of good, wholesome food and a warm, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious, allergy-aware meals and snacks, following our menu and dietary requirement lists.
• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and follow food safety procedures.
• Order and manage kitchen supplies within budget.
• Be a friendly, familiar face for our children and families.
