St Basil's Homes is seeking experienced Cooks to join our catering team on a casual basis. You will prepare nutritious meals, follow approved menus, and ensure high food safety standards while supporting kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• 12 months' experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Previous experience supervising or leading staff.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP requirements and food handling practices.
• Experience in a team-focused environment with strong communication skills.
• Ability to maintain high standards of meal quality, presentation and nutritional care.
• Computer literacy with ability to complete ordering and invoice processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also working independently.

Responsabilités

• Prepare nutritious, high-quality meals meeting dietary and cultural needs.
• Work with Catering Manager, Dietician and care team to follow approved menus.
• Maintain food safety standards and quality in meals and service.
• Support kitchen operations, stock control and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with supervision of catering staff when required.
