Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking a casual Construction Assistant to support a variety of projects in Ipswich and surrounding regions. Immediate start, with typical weekly earnings around $1,400 and superannuation at 11.5% plus a $22 daily travel allowance.

You will assist trades, perform general labouring, and help with site setup, waste removal, and material handling. Reliable, physically fit workers with a White Card and a valid driver’s licence are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant.
• Construction White Card.
• Current Driver Licence and reliable transport.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assist across commercial and residential construction, landscaping, shopfitting, and industrial projects.
• Site preparation and clean-up.
• Wheelbarrowing materials and digging/trenching.
• Lifting/carrying materials and assembling products.
• Assisting qualified tradespeople and performing general labouring duties.
