Job summary

Breakthru in NSW is seeking a casual disability support worker to join our Coonabarabran team. You will support people in daily living, education, employment and community activities with a strengths‑based, person‑centred approach.

Key tasks include community access, cooking, art, outings, transport and personal care, plus reporting. Availability outside 9–3 and residency within traveling distance to Coonabarabran are essential to be considered.

Qualifications

• Criminal record check; essential or willing to obtain.
• Working with children’s check; essential or willing to obtain.
• NDIS Workers screening clearance; essential or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Access the community for shopping, appointments and day‑to‑day activities.
• Participation in activities such as cooking, art, outdoor physical activities and excursions.
• Engagement in social events and in‑home supports.
• Meal preparation and other simple in‑home supports.
• Responsible for all aspects of personal care.
• Promote independence, dignity and choice while maintaining a safe, structured environment.
