Nellie Melba Retirement Village in Wheelers Hill is seeking an experienced Chef for a casual position with a base hourly rate of $31.77–$32.77 plus 25% casual loading. Shifts include various Monday–Friday daytime windows.

You will help deliver diverse and high-quality dining experiences for residents, with opportunities to contribute to the Ryman Delicious program. Applicants should hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality Management (or international equivalent) and

• Proven experience as a Chef in leading a team and running a kitchen.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• A reliable, friendly and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nutritious, high quality, well prepared, well presented and enjoyable food is provided to our residents.
• Prepare specialty food for fine dining evenings and village functions.
• Adhere to all practices relating to food hygiene, preparation, storage and disposal.
• Work closely with, and support your team and colleagues.

Education

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
