Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking casual OSHC Educators to deliver engaging after-school care across Jerrabomberra and surrounding suburbs. You can choose when you work, with shifts typically 2pm–6pm, managed through our app, and earn access to Paytime for on-demand pay.

No formal qualifications are required for some roles, but experience with children is essential; a Diploma or Certificate III in early childhood education or related certificates are also accepted.

Qualifications

• No qualifications needed but experience working with children is essential or you may hold a Diploma or Certificate III in early childhood education, Certificate IV in Education Support, Certificate IV in school aged education & care, or Certificate IV in Children’s Studies.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervising primary and school-aged children in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Assist other staff in engaging in age-appropriate programs that are fun and educational.
• Set up after-school clubs and activities and maintain a safe, secure environment.
• Liaise with carers and families to ensure ongoing communication.

About you:

• No qualifications needed but experience working with children is essential or you will hold a Diploma or Certificate III in early childhood education, Certificate IV in Education Support, Certificate IV in school aged education & care, Certificate IV in Children's Studies 4-14 years. • Willingness to travel to different locations around your area
• Able to implement quality, engaging, and activity-based programs
• An understanding of the My Time Our Place Framework
• A willingness to gain your state based Working With Children Card and Food Handling Certificate
• Committed to Child Safeguarding and understanding of Mandatory Reporting responsibilities required
• Willingness to complete mandatory national child safety training
• Able to provide contact details for at least two most recent professional referees who have managed you and can speak to your ability to work with children (eg Director, Coordinator, Area Manager)

A typical day will include:

• Actively supervising primary school aged children in outdoor and indoor activities
• Assisting other staff in engaging in programs that are both fun and educational
• Setting up outside of school clubs and activities
• Offering a safe and secure environment
• Liaison with carers and families
