City of Gold Coast seeks a Casual Beach Lifeguard for the Summer 2026/2027 to support the permanent Lifeguard Services team during peak school holidays. You will patrol beaches, assist beachgoers and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Essential qualifications include ocean lifeguard certification and a current Blue Card. The role requires a current driver’s licence; a jet ski licence is highly desirable. Applications close 26 October 2026.

With proven lifeguarding experience, you bring practical knowledge of patrolling, responding to emergencies, and educating the public on beach and surf safety.
Your communication and interpersonal skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively interact with the public, your team, and other organisations.
You excel in a team environment, building strong relationships with colleagues, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and policies.
You're also committed to keeping your qualifications current and ready to dive into action.
