Job summary

The Gem Hotel in Alberton is seeking friendly Bar Staff to join our team on a casual basis. You will be the face of our country pub, serving beverages and delivering great customer experiences in a welcoming environment.

Applicants should have bar or hospitality experience, a solid knowledge of drinks, and be able to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays with flexibility. RSA certification is required or you must be willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or bar roles is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to handle cash and operate POS accurately.
• Well presented with a positive, flexible attitude.
• RSA certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Operate the POS system and process payments.
• Maintain a clean and organised bar area and stock rotation.
• Provide friendly customer service and take orders efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health/safety standards.
