Job summary

Ozcare Port Douglas Aged Care Facility in Hervey Bay is seeking Casual Care Assistants to support clients in the local area. You will provide compassionate, client‑focused care aligned to individual care plans, and help residents maintain independence.

Applicants should have a Certificate III in Aged Care or related field, a current First Aid & CPR certificate, a valid driver’s licence, and be willing to undergo a National Police Check and vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• National Police Check (valid within last 3 years)
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care (or equivalent)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• Reliable roadworthy vehicle with registration and comprehensive insurance
• Immunisation against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella & Pertussis or willingness to become vaccinated
• Good computer and mobile device skills

Responsibilities

• Provide the best care and support to clients in line with personalised care plans
• Assist clients to develop skills to encourage independence
• Attend to clients' personal care needs (showering, dressing, daily activities)
• Assist with clients' medication requirements
• Work as part of the care team with a holistic approach to care
