Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd in Mackay, Queensland, is seeking compassionate Assistants in Nursing to join our clinical team on a casual basis. You will support residents with daily living activities, monitor health, and work under the guidance of registered nurses to ensure comfort and wellbeing.

Candidates should have a Certificate III in Individual Support, be reliable, and enjoy teamwork. Prior aged care experience is preferred but not essential.

Formación

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Residential aged care experience preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow care plans and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
• Current influenza vaccination or willingness to obtain per QLD aged care requirements.
• Availability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding).
• Monitor and report resident health status, including vital signs and general wellbeing.
• Support registered nurses in providing high-quality care.
• Maintain resident records and documentation according to healthcare standards.
• Assist in resident mobility and positioning.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and families.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.
