BDAC invites applications for a Kindergarten Educator to support the delivery of a culturally rich, developmentally appropriate program. You will collaborate with the Kinder Director, teachers and educators to embed Aboriginal culture in daily practice and engage with families and community.

You will foster connections with Aboriginal Elders, respect confidentiality, and contribute to VEYLDF-aligned curriculum development. BDAC encourages Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.

Qualificações

• Diploma of Children’s Services or Certificate III qualification (or working toward).
• Experience obtaining and maintaining accreditation under the National Quality Framework (NQF).
• Be able to fill the position of person in day-to-day charge (if required under Regulations).
• Previous experience in the Early Childhood sector (preferred 3 years+).
• Previous experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community members or in an Aboriginal organisation.
• Current Level 2 First Aid and Anaphylaxis Management Certificates.
• Knowledge of National Regulations, NQF, VEYLD and EYLF.

Responsabilidades

• Develop relationships with Aboriginal community and Elders to connect children to culture and country.
• Build and maintain relationships with Traditional Owners, Elders to underpin culture in the program.
• Build respectful partnerships with families and children and respond to individual needs.
• Respect confidentiality and comply with privacy policies of the service.
• Contribute to a community-based curriculum drawing on VEYLDF and Aboriginal heritage.
