Job summary

Perigon is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to join its Melbourne CBD head office finance administration team. The role involves high-volume cash and bank reconciliations across multiple entities, weekly payment runs, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to keep the transactional finance function accurate and timely.

You will collate and review cash variances, load weekly pay runs, and support audits and ad hoc finance projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in cash settlement / financial reconciliation in a high-transaction, multi-entity environment.
• Experience with POS systems and reconciliation processes.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to adapt to new accounting applications.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Proactive and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Complete bank account reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and entities; prepare cash at bank, cash in transit and cash clearing journals weekly.
• Prepare weekly cash clearing reconciliations; investigate variances and uncleared items.
• Input and load weekly pay runs into online banking portals; prepare daily payment runs for the Group.
• Prepare and investigate monthly balance sheet reconciliations across clearing, bank, and cash holding accounts.
• Prepare weekly cash variance reports and review monthly reconciliations from the national site network.
• Collaborate with accounts receivable on debtor reconciliations across the Group.
• Review weekly petty cash receipts and communicate receipts to relevant teams.
• Assist with troubleshooting automated revenue data imports; support audits and ad hoc finance projects.
