Job summary

Longreach Hospital is seeking a Registered Midwife to join its Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) on a three-week contract from 21 December 2026 to 10 January 2027. The role emphasises continuity-of-care and relationship-based practice in a regional Queensland setting.

The successful candidate will be on 24/7 on-call, deliver caseload continuity, and bring strong communication and teamwork to a small, dedicated team in Longreach.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with AHPRA registration.
• Experience in midwifery practice with continuity of care.
• Willingness to work 24/7 on-call and respond to clinical needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver caseload continuity of care within the Midwifery Group Practice model.
• Provide 24/7 on-call coverage for your caseload.
• Engage in a three-week contract over the summer period in regional Queensland.
