Job summary

Queensland Government, Central West Hospital and Health Service, is seeking a Clinical Midwife (Caseload) to provide primary midwifery care for a caseload of women across pregnancy, labour, birth and postpartum within Maternity Services and the community.

You will lead clinically and educate other midwives in the group practice, manage on-call and rostered days off, and participate in outreach care to remote areas, ensuring safe, evidence-based care aligned with NSQHS and National Competency

Qualifications

• Qualified midwife with registration.
• Experience in caseload management.
• Ability to provide outreach midwifery in remote areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary midwifery care for a caseload across pregnancy, labour, birth and postpartum.
• Provide clinical leadership and education to other midwives within the group practice.
• Manage on-call and rostered days off in collaboration with the Clinical Midwife Consultant/Educator.
• Support outreach midwifery care in remote Central West areas.
• Ensure care aligns with NSQHS and National Competency Standards for Midwives.
