Responsibilities

• Monitor the customs clearance status of cargo and ensure shipments progress in a timely manner.
• Coordinate Quarantine inspections and related requirements.
• Liaise with shipping lines, airlines and terminal operators across air and sea freight.
• Work with transport providers to arrange delivery time slots and coordinate delivery with customers.
• Plan and arrange empty container collections within required timeframes.
• Book and coordinate Air and LCL deliveries with transport companies and customers.
• Manage and facilitate special deliveries and customer requirements.
• Raise invoices for shipments, including accruals and disbursement invoices.
• Follow up with customers regarding COD payments.

Cartage Coordinator
Location: Tullamarine, 100% onsite.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Cartage Coordinator to join a well-established, Australian-owned international logistics company based in Melbourne’s Northern suburbs.

Reporting to, and working closely with the Cartage Supervisor, you will play a key role in coordinating the efficient movement and delivery of cargo across our air and sea freight operations. Full training and support will be provided to ensure you have the knowledge and resources to succeed in the role.

Contract Duration: 12 months

• Previous experience in international freight forwarding, cartage or transport coordination.
