Job summary

D & J Floor Coverings is seeking an Apprentice Carpet Layer to join our small, family-owned business based in Melbourne. No experience is required, but a good attitude and willingness to learn are essential. We offer award wages and paid TAFE/schooling as part of the apprenticeship.

Applicants should be Australian citizens or have full working rights. Training will be provided on site in the Eastern Suburbs Melbourne area (Chirnside Park).

Qualifications

• No previous experience is required, on-the-job training will be provided.
• Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or have full working rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist with carpet laying tasks under supervision.
• Prepare floors, lay materials and tools for installations.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organized.
