Job summary

Heriton is expanding its installation team and seeks experienced Carpenters to join residential and commercial projects across Sydney. You will carry out on-site carpentry, build timber and aluminium fencing, decking, pergolas, and wall cladding, and ensure high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in carpentry or outdoor structures, safe work practices, a valid licence, and bilingual English/Chinese communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' work experience in carpentry, fencing, decking or outdoor structure installation.
• Ability to use carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and installation techniques.
• Ability to work independently and solve on-site problems.
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Experience in both timber and aluminium construction.
• Fluent in both English and Chinese, with excellent bilingual communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site carpentry and installation work at residential and commercial properties.
• Build and install timber and composite fencing, privacy screens and boundary fencing systems.
• Construct timber and composite decking, including supporting frames, posts, joists and finishing components.
• Build and install pergolas, patios, awnings, sunrooms and other outdoor living structures.
• Install aluminium and steel fencing, pedestrian gates and automated gate systems, including associated frames and fittings.
• Undertake installation of doors, windows, wall cladding and other building fixtures.
• Construct and fit internal wall partitions, ceiling frameworks and external wall panels.
• Prepare building materials by measuring, cutting and adjusting components to suit individual project requirements.
• Assemble and secure structural frames, posts, beams and other supporting components to achieve stable and accurate installations.
• Use hand tools, power tools and installation equipment to complete carpentry and construction tasks.
• Inspect completed work, make necessary adjustments and ensure a high standard of finish.
• Work closely with other tradespeople and installation team members to complete projects safely and on schedule.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite while following relevant building regulations and workplace safety procedures.

About the Role:
