Job summary

V & V GROUP PTY LTD is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Stepney team on a permanent full-time basis. You will work across diverse building projects, reading drawings, setting out framing, and installing doors, windows and joinery.

Salary ranges from $79,423 to $99,423 per annum plus superannuation, depending on experience. A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent with at least 3 years of practical carpentry experience.
• White Card (construction induction) is required.
• Confidence reading plans and safely using carpentry tools.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and team-player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and specifications to plan each task and estimate materials.
• Set out and build wall, floor and roof framing including trusses and bracing.
• Build and strip formwork for concrete work and slabs.
• Hang doors, fit windows, stairs and balustrades; lay flooring and install linings and cladding.
• Install cabinetry and joinery; perform repairs and renovations as needed.
• Ensure work is level, square and finished to a high standard; follow safety procedures.
