Job summary

Lignum Design and Construction in Clayton South, VIC, is seeking a full-time Carpenter/Maintenance to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and renovation work with a strong carpentry/maintenance background and a focus on delivering quality workmanship across projects of varying sizes.

The role will primarily cover general building maintenance and small construction tasks, requiring the ability to work independently or as part of a team, manage time

Qualifications

• Experience in building and renovation work.
• Carpentry/maintenance background with trade qualifications.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication with clients and supervisors.
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles.
• Proficient in tiling, plastering, painting and joinery alterations.
• Own tools and a reliable vehicle with storage.

Lignum Design and Construction – Clayton South VIC

We are currently seeking a full-time Carpenter/Maintenance to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and renovation work, with the ability to contribute effectively across various project sizes. Our factory is based in Clayton South however, our projects are located throughout Port Phillip and South-East Melbourne. This role will focus on general building maintenance work and small building projects, therefore the ideal candidate will be an experienced trade's person with a carpentry/maintenance background.

Key responsibilities

• Maintenance and Carpentry duties and various site
• Deliver quality finish & excellent customer service
• Attend and complete building maintenance works promptly
• Maintain a neat and tidy personal appearance and wear company uniform
• Work unsupervised

About you

• Experience in building and renovation work
• Experienced trade's person with a carpentry maintenance background
• Effective time management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining productivity
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Clear and professional communication with clients, team members, and supervisors
• Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
• Building maintenance carpentry and minor construction competencies
• Proficient in other building skills – tiling, plastering, painting, joinery alterations, general labour
• Valid driver's licence and a reliable Ute/Van with roof racks and toolboxes
• Own tools
• Intermediate computer skills (e.g. job management software, email communication)
