Job summary

CG Recruitment is seeking a Carpentry Labourer/Assembler to join the production team in Brisbane. You will construct portable offices, buildings and classrooms for commercial, residential, and government projects, with a variety of tasks and hands-on learning.

You’ll use hand and power tools, work with timber and steel, and read simple drawings. On-the-job training and a friendly, supportive team environment are offered. The role is full-time with overtime and a path to permanency.

Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools and power tools is preferred.
• Previous construction or building experience is highly regarded.
• Ability to work in a team and take guidance.

Carpentry Labourer, Assembler

Our client is currently for multiple Labourers to join their production team. You'll be building high end portable offices, buildings and classrooms in the building industry.

You’ll be involved in building and constructing portable offices, buildings and classrooms for commercial businesses, residential projects and government schools. No two projects are exactly the same, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and working with their hands.

About the Role

• Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to build, construct, modify and repairs on portable units, buildings and classrooms.

• Work with timber, steel and a range of other building materials.

• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings to bring custom designs to life.

• Work in a spacious, open workshop environment alongside an experienced and supportive team.

• Receive on-the-job training and development to build your skills and knowledge.

What We’re Looking For

• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle to get to and from the workshop.

• Confidence using hand tools and power tools.

• Previous construction or building experience is highly regarded.

• Experience in concreting, carpentry or cabinet making will be highly regarded.

• A strong work ethic, willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a team.
