Job summary

Elite Portables in Helidon Spa, Qld, is expanding and seeking qualified carpenters to join a forward-thinking team. You will work on portable and modular buildings, read drawings, and perform framing, flooring, roofing and interior finishing tasks with precision.

Requirements include a Certificate III in Carpentry, own tools, a current White Card, a valid driver’s licence and 2–3 years of building industry experience. Join a supportive team and contribute to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete carpentry work on portable and modular buildings.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Construct and install timber wall frames, flooring and roof components.
• Install doors, windows, cabinetry, skirting, architraves and internal fittings.
• Measure, cut and assemble materials accurately and efficiently.
• Complete internal and external finishing work to a high standard.
• Inspect completed work and rectify defects where required.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain equipment.
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements at all times.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to meet production deadlines.

Qualified Carpenters (Chippies)

We’re also seeking skilled carpenters who take pride in their workmanship and enjoy working as part of a team. Get out of the sun this summer & work under cover at our fully covered facility.

Requirements:

Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification

Must have own tools, current White Card, driver’s licence essential

Minimum 2-3 years building industry experience, current White Card.
