Job summary

Findstaff is seeking a reliable Building Maintenance Team Member (Temporary) to support the Building & Properties team on a temporary full-time basis, covering a period of 3–4 months. The role involves maintenance and construction tasks across Council facilities.

You should be a qualified carpenter or have strong labouring/construction experience, able to work independently or in a team, with a commitment to safety. 38 hours per week, 9-day fortnight, based at Council depots.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of building maintenance and construction-related activities across Council facilities and assets.
• Work a 38-hour week on a 9-day fortnight at Council depot locations.
• Complete the role as a temporary backfill for 3–4 months.
