Job summary

Construction Builtpro Pty Ltd is seeking a Carpenter Apprentice to join our Reservoir, VIC team. This full-time apprenticeship offers hands-on experience, mentorship from skilled carpenters, and a pathway to a nationally recognised qualification.

You will learn to interpret drawings, measure and cut timber, and assist with framing, finishing, roofing and general construction tasks while earning practical on-site skills and a formal qualification.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform manual labour and work at heights.
• Strong interest in carpentry and construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced carpenters in construction, installation and repair of wooden structures.
• Learn to read and work from drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape and fit timber and materials using hand and power tools.
• Prepare work sites and ensure materials are stored properly.
• Follow health and safety procedures and keep a clean, safe workspace.
• Participate in on-the-job training and off-the-job coursework.
• Assist with framing, finishing, roofing and general construction tasks.
• Develop practical carpentry skills and tool operation safely.

Construction Builtpro Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career in the skilled trades, working full-time in the carpentry industry. Based in Reservoir, VIC 3073, you will gain hands‑on experience and mentorship from experienced professionals whilst earning a formal qualification. This apprenticeship is the foundation for a rewarding long-term career in construction and carpentry.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting experienced carpenters in the construction, installation and repair of wooden structures and fixtures
• Learning to interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints and specifications
• Measuring, cutting, shaping and fitting timber and other building materials using both hand and power tools
• Preparing work sites and ensuring materials are properly stored and organised
• Following all health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Participating in on‑the‑job training and off‑the‑job technical coursework
• Assisting with a variety of carpentry tasks including framing, finishing, roofing and general construction work
• Developing practical skills in using carpentry tools and equipment safely and effectively

What we're looking for

• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Willingness to learn and develop new skills over the apprenticeship period
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
• Current or willingness to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (if applicable)
• Valid Victorian driver's licence or ability to commute to Reservoir, VIC 3073
