Job summary

GemLife is seeking a qualified Carpenter for our new Cotswold Hills Site in Toowoomba, Queensland. The role involves basic framing, door hanging/adjustments, and assisting with defect tasks at handover, plus maintenance duties such as installing clotheslines.

We require proven carpentry experience, reliability, teamwork, and a strong safety mindset, along with a current Driver's Licence and White Card. This is an ongoing local role with above-award pay and a Monday to Friday work week.

Qualifications

• Proven history in a carpentry role with fit outs and high workmanship.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work as part of a team.
• Strong safety initiative and adherence to safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• General knowledge of construction industry and relevant legislation.
• Current Driver's Licence and Construction Industry Card (White Card).

Responsibilities

• Perform basic framing and carpentry tasks on site in Toowoomba.
• Hang and adjust timber doors and assist with door hardware.
• Complete defect tasks at handover and assist with maintenance duties (e.g., installing clotheslines).

Job description

We are currently seeking a qualified Carpenter who is hardworking, reliable and ready to join our new Cotswold Hills Site in Toowoomba and establish themselves from the start. The role would include basic framing, ability to hang and adjust doors and assist with completing defect tasks set at handover of houses alongside maintenance jobs such as installing clotheslines etc.
