Job summary

Hays Recruitment is seeking skilled carpenters to join reputable builders across the region. You will deliver high-quality carpentry work on a range of projects from commercial fit-outs to residential renovations, interpreting plans, measuring and cutting materials, framing and finishing to a high standard.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Carpentry, have experience on varied projects, can read drawings, hold a White Card and a valid licence, and own essential tools and PPE.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
• Experience on commercial, residential or renovation projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans/drawings
• Current White Card
• Valid driving licence and reliable transport
• Own tools and PPE preferred

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications and measure/cabric materials
• Frame structures and install joinery and fittings
• Perform cutting, fixing and finishing to a high standard
• Contribute to safe worksite practices and teamwork
• Maintain quality in line with project requirements

Your new role

As a carpenter, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry work across a diverse range of projects, from commercial fit-outs and office refurbishments through to residential renovations, including bathroom and kitchen upgrades. Your duties will include interpreting plans and specifications, measuring and cutting materials, framing, fixing, installing joinery, and completing finishing work to a high standard.

What you'll need to succeed

• A Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.
• Demonstrated experience working as a carpenter on commercial, residential, or renovation projects.
• The ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings.
• A current White Card.
• A valid driving licence and reliable transport.
• Own tools and PPE preferred.
